This work is inspired by the ancient Daoist concept of “Turtle Breathing” — a state in which breath becomes so deep and quiet that it nearly disappears.
In traditional Eastern philosophy, the turtle symbolizes longevity, silence, endurance, and inner preservation of life-force.
The dense black ink gathers inward rather than expanding outward.
